Codeboard / Creative Coding in Motion
Code becomes a medium for drawing and bringing a character to life. This creative coding project explores procedural illustration and animation with an AI agent through Codeboard. The 48-second film follows Clawd from pose studies to finished movement, with contours and timing that remain editable.

Video description and transcript
Instrumental funk music accompanies the film from about the first second, with sound effects following the action. No dialogue. 00–03: Clawd stands before a small line. A small line. A big decision. 03–07: A terminal presents a brief to walk, stop, and hop over the line. 07–11: The character rotates in a turnaround study. 11–15: Width, height, lean, and foot controls reshape the pose. 15–18: The storyboard shows walking, noticing, and preparing to hop. 18–24: Landing contours and timing are revised so the body takes the weight. 24–28: The timeline shows an anticipation hold before the push. 28–31: A Bézier curve and onion skin show the jump trajectory. 31–35: The drawing develops from rough to clean to detail. 35–37: The editable project and film are ready to export. 37–45: Clawd walks, pauses, hops over the line, lands, and settles. Foley follows the footsteps and landing. 45–48: Closing title: Codeboard. Animate your idea with code. No dialogue.
The challenge
Give a simple character weight and intent. Four feet need convincing contact, the pause before the jump needs to read, and the body needs to absorb the landing.
The idea
Clawd walks, notices a line, gathers weight, and hops. The film shows how a turnaround, pose controls, storyboard, and timing revisions shape that eight-second performance. Vector contours and pencil accents preserve a hand-drawn feel.
